Fallen former president Moi to be accorded the ultimate unique state burial after the presidential proclamation from Uhuru Kenyatta.
President Kenyatta directed that all flags in key installations areas to be raised at half-mast and a period of mourning till his laid to rest to be observed.
In Kenyans history only four Kenyans have been accorded the ultimate honour that’s Jomo Kenyatta,Kijana Wamalwa, Wangare Mathai ,and Lucy kibaki.
The former president termed as a dictator,diciplinarian,father of the nation by many conflicting views will be accorded a state funeral that includes the military and civilians.
A day to his resting day the fallen former president will lay at the state for viewing at parliament by willing citizens paying their last respect.
His casket will be covered with the Kenyan flag as the military stands on guard.
On 11th Feb 2020 being marked as a national holiday in respect to the former president moi’s death, Kenyans and other dignitaries across the globe will pay their last respect at Kasarani stadium.
On his burial day Moi will be accorded a 21 gun salute as an honour from the nation Kenya.
Foreign affairs working closely with his committee and moi family decided that people who worked closely with Moi will be involved in the plans until the former president is buried next Wednesday.
