Suspect In Armed Lavington West Estate Robbery Arrested.

Directorate of Criminal Investigations officers have apprehended a man who on Wednesday night 6 October participated in an armed robbery incident that occurred at Lavington West Estate phase II.

He was fished out from his hide-out where a number of mobile phones were recovered and taken to the crime unit for analysis.

The 34-year-old Edward Nduati alongside the other Suspects left the victim with gunshot injuries after the rejected to unlock her car door.

“Armed with pistols, the suspect and his accomplices accosted the victim as she parked her car at her residence, before smashing one of the car windows with a huge stone after the victim refused to unlock the doors,” said DCI boss kinoti.

It is reported the victim in attempt to attract people to help her, she began hooting and screaming.

“Her screams and hooting attracted the attention of a good Samaritan (a bodaboda rider), who stopped by raising alarm in an attempt to rescue the victim,” Kinoti added.

A boda Bora rider who came to her aid was however shot and made away with the woman’s handbag which had cash and her phone.

The victims were rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital where they’re receiving treatment.
