Tanzania has finally lifted the ban on all Kenyan flights after Kenya Civil Aviation exempted passengers arriving from Tanzania from 14-day quarantine.
According to Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority, the lift on ban will be effective today.
“On a reciprocal basis, the United Republic of Tanzania has now lifted the Suspension for all Kenyan Operations. For the purpose of this release, therefore the resumption and restoration of flights for all operators are with immediate effect and KCA has been informed accordingly,” said the director general.
In a statement, the director general said Tanzania as a nation will always strive to adhere to the fundamental principles and bilateral air service between the two states.
Airlines expected to resume its operation include fly 540 Limited, Safarilink Aviation, Kenya Airways and Airkenya Express limited.
Early August, Tanzania banned flight operations worsening the row between the two neighbouring countries.
