The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority Reduces Fuel Prices

On Saturday, 14 November, the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority announced a decrease in fuel prices.

In the most recent analysis, the prices of super petrol, diesel and kerosene decreased by Ksh1.42, Sh2.21 and Sh2.10 per litre, respectively.

The new rates will take effect from midnight tonight until 14 December 2020.

Super Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene will now be available at Kshs.105.85, Kshs.90.70 and Kshs.81.63 in Nairobi at midnight, respectively.

“Taking into account the weighted average cost of imported refined petroleum products, the changes in the maximum allowed petroleum pump prices in Nairobi are as follows: Super Petrol decreases by Kshs.1.42 while Diesel and Kerosene decreases by KShs.2.21 & KShs.2.10 per litre,” read a section of the statement.

The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority announced that it had determined the maximum market prices for petroleum products in compliance with the Petroleum Act 2019.
