For the first time since his release, Jowie Irungu has come out to speak of his life experiences in prison and the current situation of his life.

Speaking on the show ‘Bonga na Jalas’, Jowie talked about his prison life which he spent one and a half years in. This is after he arrested as the prime suspect murder of business woman Monicah Kimani.

He claimed that was the worst experience he had ever gone through adding he wouldn’t wish it even on his worst enemies.

“The worst thing is being there and I wouldn’t wish it to even my worst enemy. Kamiti prison is not what you think man! It is a small place but a bad place,” he said.

He has  come out as a productive member of the society since his release from prison claiming prison doesn’t change anyone, you have to change yourself.

On Tuesday, he released his first gospel single dubbed ‘Nishikilie’ which has been received well by fans and critics both in equal measure.

When Jalas asked if he is a gospel artist, his response was he is a situational singer whose music is all about situations in life.
