The Joy Of a Mother! MP’s Mother Makes a Request After Son wins Election

Moment after Kabuchai MP Joseph Majimbo was sworn, his mother Claire Mukhana made a request to her son.

An elated mother said she was certain their lives would change for the better following the win in the just concluded by-election.

“I am extremely elated after my son clinched the Kabuchai MP’s seat. All I ask of him is that he ferries me to Nairobi on a plane. I am happy because all my children participated in Majimbo’s win,” she told a local daily. 

The lawmaker’s sister thanked God for the win, claiming she was certain her bother would serve the people of Kabuchai with dedication.

“It’s our prayer that God will lead him on until he one day becomes the president of the country,” she said.

The newly elected MP was sworn in on Tuesday, March 9, at the National Assembly in an exercise that was overseen by Speaker Justin Muturi.
