Truce Between Sonko And General Badi As Sonko Sets To Drop All Court Cases Against NRM

Nairobi Governor, Mike Mbuvi sonko is set to withdraw all cases filed against Nairobi metropolitan services boss General Badi.

Initially, sonko had differences with the appointed General Badi on issues of running the county and had filed a case on the termination of six county functions to the national government.

Sonko had cited President Kenyatta’s administration was bullying him. He claimed the opinion that the Deed of Transfer is fatally flawed from the onset and beyond any redemption.

Change of heart came during a celebration of international youth day in Nairobi where the president was in attendance.

“After yesterday we agreed to polish the issues in the MOU and we agreed with my brother Badi that all cases in court will be withdrawn to allow for service delivery and development,” said Sonko.

This came after a meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta who urged the two Nairobi county leaders to bury the hatchet and work together in serving the people of Nairobi.
