Yassin Juma, a former journalist at NTV who is being detained in Ethiopia despite order of his release being issued has tested positive for Corona virus.
A lawyer representing him confirmed the news. Advocate Kedir Bullo revealed through Citizen TV samples taken of his client showed he was positive.
The KTN investigative journalist was arrested in July over his alleged links to the Ethiopian opposition politicians. He was among the many individuals arrested at a residence of Oromo leader, government critic and media mogul.
An Ethiopian Court had ordered his release recently after police failed to present evidence.The authorities still hold him hostage despite the court order.
