Yemi Alade ‘s post that seriously backfired!!!!

Afro-pop star, Yemi Alade, got more than she bargained for over the weekend when she revealed that her mother, Helen Uzoma, once sold her economy plane ticket to pay her school fees while in primary school.

The 30-year-old revealed this on Instagram early Monday from London, saying the city was more than a place for her family. According to her, it brings back memories of hard times but also connects with the present as they are now able to fly business class.

“London is more than just a City to my family, it marks a time in our lives (20yrs ago) when mum had to sell her Economy class ticket to pay my Primary  school fees. Today we Fly Business Class!” the singer said.

The singer had  posted that maybe to show how far off they had come from. To her this post was more than just any post but like her opening up to the public.

A post that seriously backfired as her fans commented on her post.
Some of the comments read, Korede wrote ” Wow!! Your mum had money for ticket & couldn’t afford your tuition????????yemi Alade  take it easy sis! Poverty is not a competition” another  one also commented, Churchill Junior wrote ” Your mum had money to buy economy class ticket but didn’t have money to pay your school fees ? Please it’s too early for all this type of lies”

But then looking at her biography, you will get to see why most of her fans back lashed on the post she posted.

Apparently, her father is a police commissioner of Yoruba descent while her mother is of Igbo descent, resulting in her being referred to as the Yoruba-Igbo girl. A native of Ondo State, South West, Nigeria, Alade is the fifth born of seven children in her family.

She went to St. Savior British Primary School and later attended Victory Grammar School in Lagos . Alade studied Geography at the University of Lagos .

We all come from struggles I bet. But some are realer than that of others.
