Cybercrime Unit of Ghana Police Service has closed down a Ghanian-owned pornographic webiste (empressleak.com) and the owner who is identified as Anderson Ofosuhene Anim arrested.
In a recent operation by the Ghana Police Service,it is reported all mobile phones, computers or any internet electronic used in publication of sexual content such as leaked photos and videos were confiscated.
A source close to Malimwengu said the Cybercrime Unit of the Ghana Police Service made the arrest based on reports of extortion and blackmail by the owner of the website.
The website in question is said to be popular in Ghana that provides sexual content to pornographic lovers. It publishes sex tapes and leaks of people whose videos have been claimed to pop up online.
The website is said to have been running for over 5 years now before it was pulled down.
