The K24 presenter Ann Kiguta has been known to speak her mind out, no filter, on her news show that she host every Sunday where she brings different politicians to interview them. On the show last night, she spoke her mind on matters concerning Governor Waiguru’s impeachment.
She said that defending Waiguru on the basis of her gender will be like erasing all the years of work made by women over the years. She said that we should call things as they are and not sugar coat on them.
This comes after the CS of Gender, Margaret kobia came out to defend Waiguru through a letter that trended online leading her into a hot soup.
Ann Kiguta in her words said, “…Our gender cannot be the excuse to shield what is abhorrent in our politics. We have set laws for ourselves, due process, standards by which we want to be governed and that is irrespective of the gender of our leaders.
“Convening bodies such as the Ministry of Gender must not be converted into a cheering squad for any single individual, but rather always be seen to support the whole,” Kiguta asserted.
Today as fans took to the internet congratulating Rosemary Odinga on her interview some of them supported Ann Kiguta for saying what should be said.
