Boda Boda Riders Threaten To Set MP’s Vehicle On Fire After Accident

On Wednesday, October 28, boda boda riders in Kitale Town, Trans Nzoia County threatened to set a Toyota Prado believed to belong to an MP on fire after an accident.

The vehicle, allegedly belonging to Kapenguria MP Samuel Moroto, was involved in a head-on collision with a boda boda.

The boda boda passenger died on the spot while the rider was injured. The rider was taken to the Kitale County Referral Hospital for treatment.

Boda boda riders tried to set the vehicle on fire but were stopped by the police who used teargas on the angry crowd.

The boda boda riders were allegedly headed to a colleague’s funeral when the incident took place.

The body of the deceased was taken to Kitale County Referral Hospital morgue and the vehicle towed to the Kitale Police Station.
