A businessman was shot dead by gunmen outside his residence at Eurostyle estate in Karapul Sub-location, Siaya County.
Reports indicated that George Meyo was in the company of his wife Syprose Miruka in their vehicle when three armed men approached the car and shot him dead.
The couple had just left their workplace and were waiting at the gate of their residence when the incident happened.
County Police Commander Francis Kooli explained that the criminals wore masks to hide their identities.
“He was shot at the back-left shoulder and the bullet went through the right side of his chest,” Kooli stated.
Kooli further stated that they have started investigations into the matter to bring down the criminals. At the same time, he asked residents in the area to be more vigilant.
