DCI Detectives Arrest 3 Foreign Armed Robbery Suspects

Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives arrested three foreign armed robbery suspects in Kajiado West Sub-county on Wednesday, October 21.

DCI released a statement stating that the robbery with violence suspects were foreigners from a neighboring country and that the detectives were able to recover a loaded AK-47 gun in the process.

“The trio, all foreigners from a neighboring country, were arrested following a robbery incident where a lorry was shot at and forced to stop as it was heading towards Shompole Market.

“DCI detectives based at Kajiado West Sub-County have arrested three robbery with violence suspects and recovered a loaded AK 47 rifle,” read the DCI statement.

The suspects identified as Lekina Monoi, Boniface Lesagi, and Joseph Ole Ntito are believed to be behind many cases of robbery in the area.

The suspects were reported to have escaped with thousands of shillings and property of unknown value. However, the police were able to recover some of the stolen property from a vehicle registered as KBA 626Q.

The suspects are in police custody waiting to be taken to court.
