Four suspects of robbery with violence were arrested in Vihiga by Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives.
The four suspects were believed to be members of a criminal gang terrorizing Vihiga county residents and are alleged to be connected to gruesome murders of two men in June 2020.
The four are said to be arrested in a span of three days. Detectives narrowed their pursuit to two key opines identified as Francis Apeli Anemba 25 and Samuel Mwangi Opicha 23 years.
Both were arrested from their hideouts at Majengo in Vihiga. Two other suspects John Ngota Etole 33 and Gilbert Ngota Asitiva 30 years old were also nabbed at Asikote village in Emuhaya.
According to the DCI, several mobile phones and sim cards were, hammers, pangas, pliers, chisels, hacksaw among others were retrieved from their places of hideouts.
“The suspects are undergoing legal procedures before taking plea,” DCI said.
