Residents of Tena Eastate in Umoja near Tena police station woke up to chaos at around 11pm on Thursday 6 August. There was a huge fire outbreak at night.
Reports say that the fire started from the neighboring building which was believed to be as a result of gas explosion.
Residents came out to help put out the fire but were not successful. Being near the police station Nairobi city council fire extinguishers were called on time and arrived in less than an hour.
It took them around an hour to put out the fire completely as the family counted property loss. This came just days after the Beirut explosion and just hours after The Dubai Market fire.
