JKUAT Announces The Reopening Dates For All Learners

The Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) has released the re-opening dates for all learners.

At a special senate meeting on 18 November 2020, the University agreed to reopen seven months after the announcement of the first Covid-19 case in the country.

The administration agreed to implement blended learning (face-to-face learning activities and cats) for fourth, third and second year students.

All colleges will be reopened on Monday, 23 November. Learners will be in session for a total of twelve days to complete the practicals and examinations until Friday, 4 December.

Bachelor’s degrees at the College of Pure and Applied Sciences; fourth year, first semester (SBS, SPS, SMC, SCIT) will resume studies.

First year First Semester, Second Year Second Semester (September 2018 intake) and Third Year Second Semester Students (September 2017 intake) will reopen.

College of Agriculture and Natural Resources will have Bachelors Degrees; Second Year second semester (September 2018 intake) and Third Year second semester (September 2017 intake) resume studies.

“All students are expected to comply with the Covid-19 Ministry of Health preventive measures,” JKUAT stated.
