Kenyan Parliament has been forced to go under partial lock down following an increase in number of coronavirus cases in the country.

The National assembly clerk Michael Sialai issued a communication earlier ordering the Parliament staff to stay away from the premises for the next seven days as the Parliament has now been placed under partial lock down.

This is to curb the spread of coronavirus as the virus is increasing rapidly. Justice Muturi had directed that the committee proceedings will be done virtually till 28th of July.

I hereby further direct that all committees’ sittings are suspended until Tuesday July
