The Orange Democratic Movement party has decided to have Migori governor, Okoth Obado impeached over graft allegations.
This comes a day after he was granted a sh8.7 million cash bail. He and the co-accused were released today after raising a total of sh 45 million in cash bail.
The party chairman Mr. John Mbadi said, a total of 37 out of 41 ODM MCAs who attended the consultative meeting consented to have him ousted from office.
ODM Party took to twitter and said his deputy Mr Nelson Mwita will take over the governorship since Obado is not only fighting corruption but also barred from accessing the office.
Due to corruption charges leveled against Gvn Okoth Obado & the decision by the court to bar him from accessing his office, the party in consultations with County MCAs has resolved to have a motion of impeachment against the gvn initiated immediately & have the Dep. Gvn take over
