Mumias East Member of Parliament Washiali has come forth to claim Huduma Number program was among the biggest scams by the government used to siphon 8 billion.
He stated the program was useless as many Kenyans never understood its importance despite billions being set aside for the project.
While addressing in a public function in Kakamega, he called out President Uhuru Kenyatta to come out clean and explain the use of Huduma Number since 2019.
“You registered for Huduma Number and the government spent over sh 8 billion, how is that number helping you? We all know that Huduma Number started in the office of the president and I want to challenge Uhuru Kenyatta to tell Kenyans what the was all about before he exits the government,” said Washiali.
His sentiments comes in time of a heated political debate over graft allegations involving KeMSA.
