ODM Director Of Communication Test Positive For Covid-19 Days After Raila

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Director of Communications Philip Etale, has tested positive for Coronavirus.

His results came barely days after former prime minister Raila Odinga tested positive for covid-19.

Etale announced his status via Twitter on Saturday March 13. He said he was stable and asked Kenyans to pray for him.

“Positive…Although devastated; I remain strong, determined and in high spirits. By His stripes, I will triumph. I will be healed. Please pray for me, dear friends. In God I Trust,” read the tweet.

He was among people and politicians who had interacted with the former prime minister before he was admitted to Nairobi Hospital and later diagnosed with the virus.

Among other politicians listed as close contacts include Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, his Kilifi counterpart Amason Kingi, former Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero and Taita Taveta Governor Granton Samboja.
