On Friday December 18, President Uhuru Kenyatta awarded the Head of State Commendation title to journalists Trevor Ombija and Jane Ngoiri among others.
In a Gazette Notice, President Kenyatta handed the title to a total of 158 civilians.
Ombija acknowledged the honour, expressing how happy he was to have received the Head of State Commendation (HSC) title. He went ahead and congratulated everyone who made it to the list.
“I am elated to have been conferred, the Head of States Commendation (HSC) this morning. Congratulations to everyone who made the list. Effective immediately, if you don’t add HSC when you call my name sitaitika,” Ombija Stated.
Ngoiri on the other hand was thankful and promised to continue mentoring young women.
“Thank you so much. Will continue inspiring and mentoring young girls and women,” Ngoiri stated.
