Revenue Formula Stalemate: Senate Postpones Sitting For Seventh Time

The senate sitting on Tuesday 4 August on the cagey revenue allocation formula has been postponed for the 7th time.

The debate which left  the house divided in both political and regional backgrounds was adjourned August 4 after majority of the legislators voted for postponement.

34 senators voted for the adjournment against 26 who voted to the contrary. The motion  was moved by Senator Kipchumba Murkomen who argued that the house needed more time.

The crucial motion has left the senate divided as it is necessary in creating way for the sharing of revenue among the 47 counties.
