Tharaka Nithi governor Muthomi Njuki has surrendered to the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commisison on Monday 7 September.
He presented himself today morning at the headquarters in Nairobi for examination.
This is following the DPP’s order for the Prosecution of the lawmaker and other county staff members over the irregular tender awarding amounting to sh 34.9 million.
The tender is said to have been for the supply, commissioning of a solid waste incinerator and installation in which westomaxx company submitted fake documents and won it.
The other co-accused are:
1. Fridah Murungi- Chief Environment officer
2. Floridah Kiende- Acting Director procurement
3. Highton Murithi and Teresa Kagoji- Finance officer
4. Arch Lee Mwenda- Department of Roads
5. Mike Mwiandi- Accountant
6. Emily Nkatha and Japheth Mutugi- Procurement officer
